GRUB2 にSpeedyBootを追加するには？

Ubuntuは9.04から9.10でGRUBからGRUB2になったようだ。

いままでのGRUBは/boot/grub/menu.lstを編集すればSpeedyBootを起動リストに追加できていた。
GRUB2はgrub.cnfってのがそれに該当するようだが編集不可。
/etc/grub.dの中身を編集する必要があるらしい。
そして
sudo update-grub

って打ち込むと編集内容が/boot/grub/grub.cnfに反映されるらしい。

そんだが/etc/grub.dの中身の編集の仕方がさっぱり判らん。

試しにGRUB当時の記述を/etc/grub.d/40_customに記述してみた。
赤字が追記部分。

しかし、そんなパーテーション無いとか、未知とかメッセージが出るばかり。
やっぱスクリプトってのを書く知識が必要なのだろうか？

GRUB2からカラフルな壁紙が設定できるというのでそちらもチャレンジしてみたが1024×600サイズがうまく反映されない。

どうもGRUBってのは苦手である。

出来た！

/etc/grub.d/40_customに赤字を追記。

どうやらパーティションの数え方が変わったそうで (hd0,0) ではなく (hd0,1) なのだそうな。
